Since her stage debut at age 4, Chinese pianist Hsing-ay Hsu(“Sing-I Shoo”) has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and in Europe and Asia. Her thoughtful and passionate interpretations have won international recognition, including the Petschek Debut Award at Juilliard, William Kapell International Piano Competition, and the US Presidential Scholar of the Arts Award from President Clinton. Ms. Hsu was formerly the Artistic Director for Pendulum New Music at the University of Colorado-Boulder for fifteen years. Born in Beijing, Ms. Hsu studied piano with her parents and uncle, and at Juilliard and Yale University. A Steinway Artist, she is married to composer and YCA president Daniel Kellogg, and has one daughter.
