What I loved about Spain

Many great pieces of piano music were created in Spain, or by Spanish and Catalan composers, or inspired by Spanish landmarks. A landscape spiced with imagination! As in the music of Albéniz, Mompou, Debussy, Granados...
The imposing image of Castello de Loarre on the mountains of Aragon as we drove up to it from far away.
The winding roads and the tiny villages in the countryside of Aragon.
The shy lady in the vegetable shop in Barcelona who always gave me a smile.
The sheer power of imagination and craftsmanship of Gaudi's Sagrada Familia- I could have spent a whole day studying one door.
A garbage man in the Mercato in Madrid- so friendly and content with life.
A homeless man in Cadiz who regained focus enough to say "Thank you" in English.
The balcony of the Air BnB in Granada, overlooking a romantic hillside.
Eating gofres with my family.
Amazing cooking in affordable google-reviewed restaurants.
Discounts and waived fees for..., yes, teachers!
The Roman aqueduct in Seville.
An appetite for fantasy and dreams.
Taking improv class in Barcelona with a bunch of young international people.
Creative chalkboard cafe signs with a dozen different fonts.
My first Spanish lesson: "Disculpe, tengo una pregunta."
